Ammonia Low Range Checker by Hanna Instruments

The HI-700 Ammonia Low Range Checker is a simple, accurate and cost-effective way to measure low ranges of ammonia in fresh water.

Designed as a more accurate alternative to chemical test kits, the HI-700 provides quick, accurate results in four easy steps. HI-700 uses an adaptation of the ASTM Manual of Water and Environmental Technology, D1426-92, Nessler method. The reaction between ammonia and reagents causes a yellow tint in the sample.

The HI-707 Nitrite Low Range Checker is a simple, accurate and a cost-effective way to measure low ranges of nitrite. Designed as a more accurate alternative to chemical test kits, the HI-707 provides quick, accurate results in four easy steps. The HI-707 uses an adaptation of EPA diazotisation method 354.1. The reaction between nitrite and the reagent causes a pink tint in the sample.

The reaction causes a distinctive range of colours from yellow to blue to develop. This meter has been developed to work with fresh water samples.

Please note: Any chlorine present in the sample will interfere with the reading. To remove the chlorine interference add one drop of HI-93755-53 Chlorine Remover to the unreacted sample prior to testing.
