Wagyu Package, if you have ever been to Japan you will know what a treat this is, A5 wagyu is absolutely mouth-watering.  Some of the best nights out on our buying trips are at the Yakiniku tasting amazing Wagyu and drinking the night away with ice-cold Asahi.  This isn’t strictly koi related but the food in Japan is always a big part of the trips!

A5 Sirloin Steak

Origin: Gunma, Japan
Breed: 黒毛和種 Japanese Black Pure Breed. Fully certified ancestral lineage.
Finish: High-quality grain (corn and rice straw)
Grading: A5 – the highest possible ranking. Yield grade (A to C) is the ratio of meat to the total carcass weight. Meat quality grade (1 to 5). The four criteria are: fat marbling, brightness of the meat; texture and the brightness of the fat.
Weight: 200 grams
Notes: This is the most desired beef in the world and the centrepiece on many Michelin star menus. Incredibly tender with smooth, melt-in-your-mouth texture and rich flavours. It has intense intramuscular marbling with softer fat. This has a high percentage of monounsaturated fats, omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. This product is frozen. It could begin to thaw out during the delivery process. Therefore we do not advise refreezing it once you receive it.

 

Sukiyaki Slices

Sukiyaki slices are thin-cut steaks sliced from the top sirloin; they’re the perfect thickness for Asian cooking and Korean recipes. Each of the sukiyaki slices has exquisite marbling, resulting in fantastic flavours and succulent textures.

We are excited to announce the launch of very own range of Wagyu beef.

In collaboration with our Irish farming partners, we have used our combined expertise and knowledge to produce a unique offering. This exclusive selection draws inspiration from the rich heritage and unparalleled flavour profile synonymous with the Wagyu breed whilst also adding new distinctive attributes.

We decided upon a Wagyu / Shorthorn cross, which has been reared stress-free on the open, grassy pastures of Ireland. Shorthorn are renowned themselves for producing marbled beef, so when crossed with Wagyu the results are sublime.

Their diet is supplemented in their final three months with chocolate, which adds a touch of sweetness to the bite.

This product is frozen. It could begin to thaw out during delivery process. Therefore we do not advise refreezing it once you receive it.

A5 Ribcap Slices
